The book has 200 pages, processes and analyzes the various aspects of life in Morocco and the progress in economic, finantial, legal, social and political.

The book was published in january 2004 and distributed in Europe, North America, North Africa and the Middle East.

The first edition was drawn about 30,000 copies and sold at price of 15 Euro.

The guide investment ( given the economic presentation as the fullest and most accurate ever published in English in Morocco) details the major events and trends that affect directly the key economc sectors in the country: tourism, real estate , fishing, textiles, Telecommunications, agriculture...A series of interviews was conducted with political and economic most influential in Morocco to identify the reality of the existing and projected future developments.

The research team at the consulting firm of English Group has spent more than six months of research, assisted by analysts Casablanca Finanace Intermediation, for writing this book covering all aspects of the Moroccan economy.

The book details the economic sectors, including banking, financial market, telecommunications, construction, media, land issues, real estate, tourism,  energy and agriculture. All the chapters are supported by interviews with officials and businessmen operating these vital areas of Moroccan economy.

"Emerging Morocco  2004" contains also data on Morocco, a historical overview and a guide for visitours, presenting the differenct regions and culture of the kingdom of Morocco, a selection of hotels and restaurants.

 

Morocco and the Netherlands strengthen the tourist co-operation

The Moroccan minister of Tourism  Mohamed Boussaid has met Wednesday with Rabat with the Dutch minister to maintain the Foreign trade, Frank Heemskerk, of the means of strengthening the bilateral cooperation in the tourist domain between Morocco and Holland. The discussions were marked by the presentation of the potentialities of Morocco in the field of real estate and the importance that has this sector for the Dutch economic operators, as well as the possibility; to establish an institutional twinning between Morocco and the Netherlands as regards training in tourism and the human stock management.
Mr. Boussaid underlined, within this framework, that Morocco s' is harnessed these last years, within the framework of its program to attract 10 million tourists in 2010 , to sit a policy in the long run intended to promote tourism sector which contributes more to the development of the country and which generates employment. For its part, Mr. Heemskerk called with opening in Amsterdam a Moroccan office of tourist promotion in order to make known the potentialities of Morocco in this field, estimating that tourism constitutes the vector of the development and prosperity. The talks were also centered on the possibility of making profitable Dutch experience in the hotel training area through in particular the installation in Morocco of the appendices of the universities Dutchwomen, l' encouragement of the students and the programs of improvement. Morocco is not dealing in business with the French only. Morocco is an International open trade to investors from all over the world. relating to the construction of a line TGV of 500 kilometers between Tangier and Marrakech. We will be

able to travel from London to reach Marrakech.

A direct rail link between London and Marrakech could be possible from here 2025. Lla signing recently of

a contract of an amount of 1,2 billion pounds Sterling between Morocco and France relating to the

construction of a line TGV of 500 kilometers between Tangier and Marrakech, indicates that the travellers

will be able to cover the distance between these two cities in less than three hours against 11 currently. The

line, cut out in two sections: Tangier-reduction and Reduction-Marrakech, will be brought into service

before 2015. This project comes to be added to that of the fixed connection between Africa and Europe via

the Straits of Gibraltar. The feasibility study for this connection will be completed the next year, and

Morocco and Spain already managed an agreement in principle for the construction of a tunnel connecting

Punta Paloma (in the south of Spain) and Tangier. The project, whose cost will rise with nearly 10 billion

Sterling pounds, will have to be inaugurated in 2025, noting that the tunnel will be built while taking as a

starting point the the Channel tunnel, connecting France and England. All these infrastructures will make

Morocco more popular destination not only for travellers but also for investors who are hunting for more

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. McKinney Moller, the Maersk group’s major shareholder, emphasized the port’s location at the meeting point for routes to four continents, and
declared that it would play a key role in the economic growth.

Morocco tourism and luxury property market boom continues

Speaking tp members of the international and local Moroccan press, tourism and luxury property market boom continues in Morocco said the Moroccan tourism minister Mohamed Boussaid. He claimed that the tourism in Morocco is very healthy and there is no sign of slowdown.

Morocco attracted a total of 7.4 million international tourists last year and the figure for 2008 could top this.

The Moroccan tourism minister said: Tourism's growth was 15 per cent and in Febrary 2008. So we are seeing an acceleration in tourism growth.

The Moroccan tourism minister added that the country is set to meet its target of attracting ten million visitors from overseas in 2012.
